The strategy behind the design of F&P’s new Sydney premises follows the logic of the recently completed Product Design Centre in East Tamaki HQ, Auckland. The Social Kitchen is symbolically placed at the office core and is a site of sociability, collaboration, creativity and eating together. The sweeping, curved plywood ceiling floats above, giving this space a more residential, intimate feel, which feels appropriate as a backdrop for home appliances. F&P is interested in the lives lived around their products, and the best way to bring this touch point into the workplace is a usable kitchen where staff can use the products daily.

Meeting pods border the Social Kitchen, providing a natural destination for staff and visitors. Black aluminium framing and precision glass sliding doors echo the attention to detail and design of F&P appliances.

“Hi Nicola & Jonathan, I have literally just got back from the office, it looks terrific! The guys here will not know themselves and the ceiling looks spectacular!”

Nick Egan CFO Australia F&P
